    WRI China focuses on both climate mitigation and adaptation in parallel, contributing to achieving carbon emission peaking as early as possible, realizing China’s long-term climate resilience, as well as the vision of an inclusive and just transition towards carbon neutrality.

    About us

    As China integrates climate change response into its overall national economic and social strategy, “green development” has become a key word in China's high-quality economic growth. Through well-established research and efficient multi-party dialogues, WRI China focuses on both climate mitigation and adaptation in parallel, facilitate domestic and international exchanges, and work closely with governments, research institutes, and business, providing science-based advice for practitioners and decision-makers across various sectors for their goal-setting and actions. These efforts significantly contributes to achieving carbon emission peaking as early as possible, realizing China’s long-term climate resilience, as well as the vision of an inclusive and just transition towards carbon neutrality.
