Mr. Li Yanzhong is the Research Associate of Overseas Energy at the Sustainable Transition Centre of WRI China. He is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that align with China's commitments and global energy transition goals. By fostering collaboration and building strong networks, he endeavours to significantly contribute to accelerating the transition to sustainable energy systems in China and abroad.

Mr. Li has long time experience of international cooperation and business development experience in the field of energy for both public and private sectors. Before joining WRI, he used to work at ICF International Consulting (Beijing) Company, BP (China) and China Quality Certification Centre (CQC). He also worked at the International Cooperation Department of the National Energy Administration of China for multiple years, responsible for energy cooperation between China and North American, Oceanian, European countries and international energy organizations.

Mr. Li holds a Master's degree in Law and a Bachelor's degree in Literature.
