Yang Chen is currently a researcher at the World Resources Institute's Beijing office, focusing on the Food and Natural Resources Program. Her main responsibilities include researching and exploring sustainable investment and financing opportunities in the agricultural sector, seeking effective ways for financial support to research and innovation in the agricultural sector, with the aim of promoting the exchange of agricultural technologies and best practices and providing assistance for the realization of important global goals such as sustainable development and climate change response. 

Before joining WRI, she was employed by the top financial institutions in China such as the National Agricultural Credit Union, Bank of China and China Minsheng Bank. She has approximately 20 years of experience in trade financing and agricultural supply chain financing. She is committed to leveraging financial resources to facilitate the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Yang Chen graduated from the University of Exeter in the UK with a Master of Science degree in Finance Management. She holds the FRM certificate issued by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and the CFA ESG-Investing certificate awarded by the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR).
